We've recently expanded our Social Media presence and launched a Facebook page and an Instagram feed. This move comes on the back of our Twitter feed being a resounding success so far with over 6,500 followers and counting.
The key to a successful Social Media presence is to vary content and adapt your content to each media. Our Twitter feed will continue to be the home of short, informative updates, RTs and interactions with fellow businesses. Facebook will see mainly pictorial content optimized for sharing and liking to grow the fan-base organically. Instagram will showcase photography and highlight images of interest - be it of our own work or the sharing of things that capture our eye from elsewhere online.
Although varying content across the channels is essential, having the same username if possible, is key. Not only does this emphasise your brand identity but also helps loyal fans and followers to find you across the different social media channels with ease. Having the same @ is particularly useful when tagging on Instagram and Twitter - as when the two are interlinked it makes for a seamless transition. (Or in worst case scenarios someone with your Twitter handle gets mentioned on Instagram and vice versa, or an inactivated account shows up.)
